SnapStream BeyondTV Ocelot Tuner

Overview

A driver for SnapStream's BeyondTV PVR application that uses the ADI Ocelot's IR capabilities to change the channel on a set top box.

Easily configured to use IR signals that the Ocelot has been taught.

Can send a series of user-defined IR signals before and after the channel change. For example, a 'discrete on' signal could be sent before the channel change to ensure the set top box is turned on.

User-defined delay period between each IR signal sent.

Instructions

Download the zip file here.

Unzip the two files 'SSOcelotTuner.dll' and 'SSOcelotTuner.ini' into 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond TV\tuner'.

Configure the Ocelot:

• Using the C-Max application, teach the Ocelot the appropriate IR codes for your set top box. As a bare minimum, it will need the digits 0 to 9.

Configure the driver:

• Edit 'SSOcelotTuner.ini' to send the appropriate IR codes. See the documentation on INI File Settings below.

Configure BeyondTV:

• Open BeyondTV's Web Admin page, go to 'Configure -> Advanced Settings -> Video Sources' and edit the settings for the appropriate video source.
• Locate the 'Tuning Interface' setting and change it to 'Ocelot Tuner'.
• Click 'Save changes'.
• Test the driver by entering BeyondTV's 'Live TV' mode and channel surfing.
